My book Between air and electricity – Microphones and loudspeakers as musical instruments has been published as a hardcover in February 2017. A (much cheaper) paperback was published in 2018. There is an open access version as well, readable online and with downloadable chapters.

Audiovisual documentations of many of the examples I mention in the book can be found on the website www.microphonesandloudspeakers.com. I also   update the website once in a while with new examples.

On the website www.cathyvaneck.net/ownworks you can find information on the compositions I have made between 2006 and 2013, all using in some way microphones and loudspeakers as musical instruments. They are part of my PhD research “Between Air and Electricity — Microphones and Loudspeakers as Musical Instruments”.
